HI IQ Learning’s exceptional camps are back for 2025, offering unique and innovative experiences that make our camps one of a kind!

What Makes Our Camps So Unique?

  • Interdisciplinary Projects: At HI IQ Learning, we believe in blending STEM, art, and writing into seamless, interdisciplinary projects. Through our Discover, Design, and Develop classes, students take on real-life challenges as engineers and artists. This approach fosters critical thinking and creativity while encouraging students to explore multiple disciplines within a single project.

  • Hands-On Challenges: Our camps are all about hands-on, open-ended projects that ignite curiosity and foster problem-solving skills. From engineering bridges that can hold unexpected weight to creating interactive games using simple circuits, students tackle exciting questions that push the boundaries of their imagination and skills.

  • Collaborative Work: Teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of our camps. Students work closely with peers to bring their ideas to life, building essential communication and teamwork skills. Our supportive environment ensures every group project is both thoughtful and intentional.

  • Unique & Innovative Projects: Creativity is our specialty! Campers will build interactive robots, explore game design, prototype unique inventions, and engage in one-of-a-kind projects designed to spark inspiration and captivate their imaginations.

  • NEW S.T.E.A.M. Jr. for our K-1 Campers: After years of experience, we’ve decided to develop a differentiated program specifically designed for our youngest campers in grades K-1. This unique offering provides a more gentle introduction to STEM and hands-on learning, ensuring these young campers feel supported and engaged while building foundational skills. Activities are thoughtfully tailored to meet their developmental needs, sparking curiosity while nurturing creativity and confidence.

  • Weekly S.T.E.A.M. Showcase with Student Presentations: We’re excited to bring back our S.T.E.A.M. camp open house for 2025, now with a special new update! At the end of each week, parents are invited to explore the incredible creations of our campers—from innovative engineering projects to multidisciplinary art and writing. New for this season, the showcase will begin with a brief presentation from our students, where they’ll proudly showcase their favorite projects and share what they’ve learned.

  • Exclusive Vlog Updates: Stay connected throughout the week with our popular vlog updates. Exclusive videos capturing the exciting adventures, activities, and projects of our campers will be uploaded to our private YouTube channel every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This ensures you’ll never miss a moment of your child’s S.T.E.A.M journey!

Camp Schedule:

We’re excited to announce a new and flexible schedule! Our days are now divided into three engaging stages:

  • Discover: During this stage, we’ll harness kids’ natural creativity and curiosity to teach the scientific concepts behind the hands-on projects, making learning a celebration of discovery.

  • Design: During this phase, students will work on planning their projects and gathering materials from the makery.

  • Develop: Finally, students will put their engineering skills to work in the ‘Develop’ stage, refining their projects and bringing their ideas to life.

This dynamic approach allows for greater flexibility and hands-on learning and will provide students with more time to work on different stages at their own pace.

Enrollment & Class Information

S.T.E.A.M. Camp:

Our S.T.E.A.M. camps are recommended for students in grades 2-6 for the 2024-2025 school year and are designed to provide age-appropriate challenges and activities. Students will be grouped into Team Mahina (grades 2-3) and Team Hoku (grades 4-6) for a more tailored learning experience. While we strive to maintain this differentiation, adjustments may be made based on enrollment. In cases of low enrollment, classes may be combined to ensure a collaborative camp experience for all participants. Each class will be led by one lead teacher with the support of an assistant to ensure personalized attention and guidance for every camper.

S.T.E.A.M. Jr.:

S.T.E.A.M. Jr. is designed for students currently in kindergarten and first grade for the 2024-2025 school year. We highly recommend that students who are joining us for S.T.E.A.M. Jr. have already completed a preschool program to ensure they are well-prepared for our engaging and hands-on learning environment. To ensure a high-quality, personalized experience, S.T.E.A.M. Jr. classes will be limited to 8 students, with 1 lead teacher and 1 assistant.
